Stock Assembly and Process Cost Function

The Bill of Materials module provides a combined stock assembly and process costing function, and is directly integrated with the Stock Control and Nominal Ledger modules.

You can use the Bill of Materials module on its own or as part of a group of Manufacturing modules, which includes Estimating, Planning, Works Orders and Operation Times modules. 

You can specify finished items in terms of sub-assemblies and components. If process costs are involved in sub-assemblies, these can be entered against a BOM (bill of materials).

If you are manufacturing in repetitive batches, production is based around the BOM.

If you are working in a one-off jobbing environment use the Estimating module.

Note: If you are not using Manufacturing, you will only be able to use the Bill of Materials module for production.
