Charity Karting with Rotary Becket

Charity Karting with Rotary Becket

On 30 June 2022 we took part in the annual Charity Karting event run by the Rotary Club of Northampton Becket (Rotary Becket) at Whilton Mill Kart Track in Northampton. Rotary Becket has been running the annual Charity Karting event for around 20 years, with all proceeds raised going to locally based good causes.

Whilton Mill is one of the country’s top proper racing circuits for Karts. We raced on the international circuit, which is fast and has good run off areas, so is safe for novice drivers as well as being technically challenging for those more experienced racers.

With 11 teams in place, some of which were very competitive and taking it very seriously, Paradise's team brief was simple - have fun and don't come last.

For the two hour endurance style race, we fielded two teams, built from a mixture of staff, partners and our work experience sixth-former, who although is not yet driving cars, managed to achieve Paradise's fastest lap time, closely followed by Alex our Sales Director.

A pitstop for refuelling was scheduled and driver changeovers were strategically planned (swap when you're tired). All racers contributed to an enjoyable evening, while the remainder watched from a safe distance and enjoyed testing out the excellent catering facilities!

Thank you to Rotary Becket for organising another great charity event and to Whilton Mill for hosting at their excellent venue. See you next year!
